Mapping All the Places You Will Go

Overview

For the first four years, Citymaps existed solely as a native app with a focus on local map discovery. In 2015, I was hired as the Head of Design to expand the product to web and refocus the user goals across all surfaces. I led the product design across all screen sizes and map design across all 20 zoom levels from the start of 2016, leading up to the acquisition of Citymaps by TripAdvisor in August 2016.

I led the expansion of the mobile app to web. Pushed the mobile experience past local discover to focus on new user goals to travel and offline maps. Managed the product design team, worked alongside our product manager and full engineering team. Part of the team that led the 2016 acquisition to Tripadvisor.
